For centuries, the muse was adorned, dressed and styled by others. The TEXTILE BUFFET is a participatory installation that hands this power back to you.
Laid out like a banquet, an abundance of reclaimed materials, sourced from flea markets, vintage collections and local designers, waits for you to become the curator. Pick what catches your eye, then, at the makers' table, combine, rearrange and shape your selection into a singular wearable detail.
Every fragment carries someone else's story. In your hands, it finds a new voice, and you become muse and maker at once.
This special edition takes place at The Gallery of Things in Zehlendorf in the context of the exhibition UNMUSED.
It's the perfect occasion to bring a friend, and we've put together a special rate for two ;)

Safety Pin Revival: from useful to iconic, and back again.
The safety pin has seen a lot. It started as a practical everyday helper, present in every sewing or travel kit, to become a rebellious symbol of punk culture and has been revisited by many Fashion creators.
For LOOPTOPIA Berlin 2026, THE TEXTILE BUFFET gives this small all-rounder a fresh take.
We set up an abundant table at à la mode, where you'll find lace, velvet ribbons, sequins, buttons, found pieces and fabric scraps, including materials straight from the tailoring studio. We invite you to play with colours, shapes and textures, to create your special safety pin.
Worn as an accessory for your jacket, coat or bag. It can give your garment garment a new accent, or help cover a small flaw. Cherry on top of the cake? Whenever you need the safety pin for something else entirely, you already have it with you.
THE TEXTILE BUFFET is a natural fit for LOOPTOPIA, the Weekend of events dedicated to the circular economy: we work with what already exists, rediscover materials and show how small changes can spark the desire to keep wearing our clothes for longer, and in new ways.
For this public edition, we've created an inclusive format: a 90-minute sitting for only €15.
No prior experience needed. Curiosity and a wish to try things out are all you need.

This edition took place at Lillimendelssohn, a Berlin knitwear label known for its distinctive use of colour, beautiful yarns and timeless design.

23.06.2026 The TEXTILE BUFFET at Impact Hub Berlin
This Textile Buffet took place at Impact Hub Berlin, a coworking space and innovation hub in Berlin, as part of the creative market and community night event.
